Let’s face it (and arm it, and leg it, and…well, you know what I’m getting at). It’s a question that comes up for most if not all parents: when does it stop being okay to be naked in front of my child? Whether it’s a question that has been around since baby’s first bath, or something you’ve been wondering since your kid first yelled “Ew…get out…I’m changing!”. It’s a question that is natural, confusing, scary…all of the things. This article normalizes the topic and explores factors including our society’s norms surrounding the body and nudity, individual values and comfort levels with nudity, and the scientific evidence that shows us it’s not quite as scary as it we worry it will be.
